Hi! I'm Megan, a Vancouver-based marketing and communications professional who is passionate about arts, culture, tourism, the outdoors, and building communities. In my current role as Marketing and Events Manager at Grouse Mountain, I project manage all marketing and events advertising campaigns, write web and email copy, and oversee planning and execution of public events at the resort.

With over 15 years of experience writing for a variety of web and print publications, my skills include content development, copywriting, proofreading, editing, researching and interviewing. I also have extensive experience in community relations, project and event management, fundraising and partnerships.

After completing the Arts and Entertainment Management diploma program at Capilano University in 2015, I joined the communications team at Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Major League Soccer. As the club's Community Relations Manager, I led all charitable events, fundraisers and programs and created engaging community content for the club website, social media channels, newsletters and in-stadium assets.

In 2019, I moved abroad to Scotland on a two-year work visa. As Content Development Executive at The List – a leading digital guide to arts and entertainment in the UK – I created and managed a wide range of web, social media and newsletter content. I also contributed content to The List's print publications including the Edinburgh Festival magazines, Guide to Scotland's Festivals and the Edinburgh Eating & Drinking Guide. 

I previously worked for Canada Wide Media (Youthink Magazine) as a Junior Editor and my writing has also been published by the Capilano Courier, BCLiving and The Sunday Times Scotland.
